Anyone who really knows me knows my career aspirations. Usually upon learning that I'm pursuing a career as a Christian Sex Therapist, I get one of two responses:
#1: Wow! That's awesome! I think your services are truly needed and will benefit so many.
#2: You want to do what?
Let me explain. So many people get a perverted picture of what sex therapy is. Check out http://www.aasect.org for a clear definition. Now all you gotta do is then bring that from a Christian perspective (mixed with the Social Work Code of Ethics) and you have an idea of what I want to do with my life.
So with that background, I decided to start this blog not so that I can pretend that I'm an expert on anything, but as an opportunity for people to discuss various topics related to sexuality and our Christian faith. Please feel free to leave comments or email me with suggested topics. Although I'm the owner of this blog, it's not just for me. There aren't very many venues for Christians to openly discuss sexuality without some type of restriction. I only have one rule here: RESPECT first; everything else will follow. As long as we're all on the same page, let's proceed without caution.
